Millie's Restaurant & Catering
About This Spot
Stepping into Millie’s Restaurant & Catering feels like discovering a quietly cherished local retreat along the bustling stretch of Daytona Beach Shores. The moment you arrive, the pace softens—the clatter and rush of the seaside fade to an invitingly calm rhythm. Here, the air holds the easy warmth of familiar smiles and genuine attentiveness, setting the stage for a dining experience that’s as much about human connection as it is about the food.
Millie’s bears the unmistakable heart of a neighborhood spot where the atmosphere is relaxed without ever being laid-back in a lazy sense. The balance between comfort and a touch of thoughtful care is evident in the way servers move effortlessly, sharing recommendations with a personal touch, and how the space feels quietly alive with contented conversations.
The menu at Millie’s is a loving nod to classic American flavors with a spirited coastal influence. It’s the kind of place where invitations to try tender local fish cooked with care, or the soulful pull of shrimp and grits, come wrapped in stories and smiles—never the rush of formal dining. Seasonal catches often star alongside surprising touches like smoked fish dip or alligator ribs, inviting you to savor both the familiar and the unexpected.
Dining here carries a certain unpretentious joy. Whether you settle in for a laid-back lunch or a dinner that stretches with good company and the gentle hum of the evening, the food feels like an expression of place—rooted in local ingredients, rich with detail, and served with effortless kindness. The sweet finishes steer clear of fuss with offerings like pineapple upside down cake or tropical bread pudding that linger warmly on the palate and in memory.
Millie’s quietly cultivates an experience that feels handcrafted rather than scripted—where attentive service meets thoughtfully prepared dishes, and each visit unfolds with a sense of genuine care. It’s a place that invites you not just to eat, but to slow down and savor the small, joyful moments that make local dining feel like coming home.

This is a hidden gem wrapped up in a simple ambience. Be it service, the welcoming smile, hot food served or the attentiveness, this restaurant tops the game. We had a lunch today in this restaurant and we could sense the passion the chef has infused in his dishes served to us. We had Fish francaise, Pesto bowl and kid’s pasta and to finish the lunch with pecan pudding. Everything was top notch. Hats off to Sophia who had been juggling with multiple orders and tables but always remembered what everyone wanted and the smile she always had while attending to everyone. Reservation is recommended.

I looked up a Triple D restaurant visit in the area and Millies Restaurant came up in my Google search. Decided to give it a try. Not at all disappointed. Definitely 2 thumbs up. The grits are so good! Service was amazing as our waitress topped off drinks and shared dish information. We appreciated the time she took to go over the menu with us. We choose to sit outside, inside noise level was a little too loud for me. The weather was not an issue as the sun set and the temperature dropped a few degrees. The burger I ordered was cooked to perfection and seasoned well. My hubby and I split an order of the cheese grits. Millies prices are fair. Parking is a bit of an issue but we found a spot on the side of the building. We'll definitely be back!

This is a great local restaurant for lunch or dinner, the service was excellent. There was no wait time. The food was delicious, not your ordinary diner. By any chance they had a nice wine list, and the atmosphere was perfect for an early evening dinner.

We picked Millie’s for our anniversary dinner from a family recommendation and were extremely pleased with this hidden gem of upscale dining in a relaxed atmosphere. Their reservation process and reminders were greatly appreciated. Our server Alana was friendly, attentive with an awesome personality. She recommended their popular dishes, Filet Mignon Sandwich and Shrimp Francaise which were both fantastic!! Millie’s is the Goldilocks of casual and fine dining, Just Right! We look forward to returning.

Our first visit to Millie's was very enjoyable mostly because of the food. We ordered fish sandwiches, one grilled, another blackened. Today's fish was flounder which was very tasty and flavorful. The accompanying French fries tasted really good, though not crispy and thankfully not soggy. It was clear that the ingredients were fresh. The bourbon maple bread pudding was simply heavenly, and served warm with above-average vanilla ice cream. The ice cream exposed the deep and varied flavors of the bread pudding. Our server William was friendly and efficient. A few negatives to note: 1. The restaurant was out of fish collar appetizer, apparently one of their specialty items 2. William noted several times that the amount of fish they had was limited as he was describing the menu. Note that there were only two of us, and this was close to closing time 3. There was no wifi available to guests, I couldn't really understand the excuse 4. There is a 3% surcharge for credit card use. This continues to be one of my biggest pet peeves when dining out domestically, especially since a lot of places we've traveled internationally have gone (mostly) cashless Millie's is highly recommended for the freshness and quality of the food. Don't expect too much from the decor or environment. And be prepared to pay a 3% surcharge for credit card payments.

An adventurous first try with alligator ribs—truly unique! The seasonal Wahoo fish was exceptionally tasty.
